Unib, the 61th Ranking in applying ICT

In year 2011, Unib was the 61th rank among 355 universities in Indonesia in the list of higher education institution applying the Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The rank is released by TeSCA (Telkom Smart Campus), a national evaluation program which is initiated by Telkom with the purpose to encourage utilizing ICT in academic insitution.

On TeSCA webpage http://www.tescaindonesia.org, Unib has been rank among 100 best universities in make use of ICT. The rank itself shows competitiveness advantage of a university. Top five of the list place UI, Universitas Gunadarma, Universitas Bina Nusantara, UGM, and ITB.

In Unib, ICT was managed by a board called Badan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (BATIK) which is established to meet a demand on good governance in higher education institusion.
