Gorontalo State University, abbreviated as UNG, is a public university in Gorontalo, Indonesia, which stood on 1 September 1963. Initially the University was named Junior College, and became part of FKIP UNSULUTENG. In 1964 its status changed to Yogyakarta Branch Branch FKIP IKIP Manado, in 1965 joined the Teachers' Training College Manado Branch Gorontalo.

In 1982 this institution became one of the Faculty of the University of Sam Ratulangi Manado by the name of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (Guidance and Counseling) UNSRAT Manado in Gorontalo.
